Michelle Lynnette BROWN (Acrea) Age 39, of Covington, WA, died December 12, 2007 peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family and friends after a courageous fight with cancer.
Michelle was born July 25, 1968 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to SJ Acrea and Cheri George. As a child, Michelle was always generating fun and mischief while she played fun and games on the farm with her little brother, Shayne. She attended Missouri Valley High School, where she was active in drill team and track and was known by her friends to be very caring and loyal.
In 1988, Michelle's bright smile moved to Seattle to find a new experiences. She worked as a Mortgage Processor at Mortgage Masters and immediately made lifelong friends with her colleagues. In 1997, Michelle met Robert Brown and the two fell in love with one another and married in October 2001. As a Mom to Anna Marie, Michelle showed her unconditional love and care each day.
Through out her 3+ year battle with cancer, Michelle displayed humor, courage, and strength, dealing with every bit of news in stride. She maintained a positive outlook, teaching us all many valuable lessons. Michelle was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, friend, and inspiration to us all.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Stanley & Irene Acrea, and John & Marjorie Martens; Stepmother, Barbara McCoy Acrea, all of Missouri Valley, IA.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert, daughter, Anna Marie, both of Covington, WA; father, SJ Acrea, of Missouri Valley, IA; mother, Cheri George, of Puyallup, WA; brother, Shayne, wife, Delcy, and nephews, Grant, Carter, and Zak of Cedar Rapids, IA; maternal parents, Douglas and Carol Tredo, of Longbranch, WA; and many, many loving extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service is to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17th at The Kent Senior Activity Center, Kent, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held at Henry's Switch at Lake Wilderness Golf Course, Maple Valley, WA immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in Michelle's honor to The Seattle Care Alliance (PO Box 19023, Seattle, WA 98109).
